Humans may be at the top of the food chain, but there are a wide variety of species in the world that we should be afraid of. The following are the most venomous animals in the world:

1- Marbled Cone Snail

conus marmoreus

Be careful when you are picking up beautiful shells on a beach, because if you happened upon a marbled cone snail, you may not live to talk about it. A single drop of venom from this Indian Ocean dweller can kill 20 adult humans, and there is no antivenom that can be used.

2 – King Cobra

The King Cobra can inject nearly 5 times more venom as other snakes do in a single bite, which is enough to kill an adult African elephant in a couple of hours. It inhabits the highland forests of Asia, away from populated areas. Only one bite can deliver about 200 – 250 mg of venom making it fatal for the victim.

3 – Box Jellyfish

Found in the Indo-Pacific region, the box jellyfish is quite stunning. Literally. Each of their 10 foot long tentacles can have more than 5000 stinging cells, which injects a venom that can instantly stun and kill other animals, even humans.
